Founded in 2011, One Eight Pictures is a visionary film production and services company crafting cinematic narratives. Ankur Phougat 

Co- Founder and Director of Photography 

With over a decade of experience behind the lens, Ankur is a seasoned Director of Photography and Producer known for his keen visual sensibility and deep technical mastery. His body of work spans music videos, documentaries, TV shows, digital commercials, and short films—each project showcases his ability to adapt, innovate, and translate narratives into powerful visual arts.

Ankur’s deep understanding of camera craft, lighting, and visual aesthetics is matched by his intuitive grasp of character and story—allowing him to create a nuanced visual language that feels both authentic and cinematic. His patience, curiosity, and collaborative spirit make him a natural fit in any creative environment.

Among his standout achievements, Ankur produced and shot India’s first ice climbing film, The Fall, which was screened at top international film festivals and won the Grand Prize at the Indian Mountaineering Foundation Film Festival. His commercial portfolio includes work for leading brands such as Jameson, Delhi Capitals, Hero, Mountain Dew, Thums Up, JBL, Mother Dairy, PepsiCo, and Micromax.

He also produced and shot the debut album of indie rock band The Local Train, earning praise from icons like Lucky Ali, Ankur Tewari, Raghu Dixit, and Ehsaan Noorani. His television and documentary credits include projects for National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Hotstar, History Channel, the Obama Foundation, the United Nations, and the American India Foundation.

Ankit Pushkarna

Co-Founder and Director

A Dadasaheb Falke Awardee, Ankit Pushkarna started his career as a Film Editor in Mumbai. A silver medalist alumnus of L V Prasad Film and TV Academy, Ankit has worked on feature films like Kahaani, Shanghai, Harud, and Fireflies. He took the lead as the Post Production Head and VFX Supervisor on films John Day and Simply Complicated. With an experience of more than a decade, Ankit has expertise in working on both- long and short formats of films, right from conceptualization, execution, to the finished product. 

 

His work also includes directing and editing ad films for brands like Hero MotoCorp, ISMA, Hitachi, JBL, Honda, IDBI, Micromax, and more. Ankit has also been involved in making documentaries that create social impact. He has directed #letsgetherthere film for the "Obama Foundation" and "Umang" - a documentary film for the United Nations on life skills education, and has handled creatives for the Milaan foundation documentary
